MGH CAA BRAIN DONATION PROGRAM

Please note: the MGH CAA Research Program is only able to accept brain donations from patients who have participated in CAA MRI imaging studies at our Center.

For patients and families who have completed imaging studies with the MGH CAA Research Program and have an urgent brain donation matter, please contact the primary brain donation research coordinator at 617-724-2829.

Please note the MGH CAA Research Program is staffed regular business hours, Monday-Friday 9a-5p (EST).

Brain donation at the time of death is one of the most important and generous gifts a patient and family can give. Our postmortem examinations of the brain are conducted in collaboration with the Memory & Movement Disorders Unit Brain Tissues Center, run by Dr. Matthew Frosch, an expert in neurodegenerative diseases.
